Freedom: A Fable by Kara Elizabeth Walker. Peter Norton Family pop-up

Freedom: A Fable (A Curious Interpretation of the Wit of a Negress in Troubled Times) by Kara Elizabeth Walker. The Peter Norton Family. 1997. The Peter Norton Christmas Project 1997. Edition of 4,000 copies, unnumbered. ISBN-10:0966013905. 8 1/4" x 9 1/4" Brown leather? hardcover with no dust jacket. Embossed silhouette of a ship on the front cover and title and author on the spine. Fine cut black paper silhouette pop-ups. Light wear to cover tips and top and bottom of the spine. I find a few smaller than pin-point white spots on the front cover. From what I see, the pop-ups appear flawless, but care needs to be taken opening the first one as the parts tend to stick when closing the page. No previous owner markings. No tears, folds or creases to pages. Binding is tight with no looseness to pages. Not ex-library, not remaindered and not a facsimile reprint. For sale by Jon Wobber, bookseller since 1978. ID02a
