*Regarding the printing history, a first edition guide I have says Ten Speed Press from the time did not have a consistent statement of printing history. Amazon has two listings with the same isbn as this copy, but the main Amazon listing says "Second edition (December 1, 1979)" with neither of the individual listings stating one way or the other. One or both may be firsts and did not realize they were listing under an Amazon listing stating second edition. It is also possible the original lister that created the Amazon listing, messed up and left everybody else with a problem.
