"This little story gives some of the history of the beautiful Big Hole Basin and will, no doubt, be of interest to those who may- in fifty or one hundred years-call the place their home. When it was begun I did not know that t was to have bee the first autobiography ever published in Montana. For that reason, if for no other, it will have a distinct istoric value." - From the forward of the book.
