Tipped in frontispiece photo of author Banadini. Pen and ink sketches by the author. A number of full page photos.

Wear to the outside leather, but with no breaks to the leather. A dark brown discoloration to the base of the spine. Lettering and decoration on spine and front panel worn, almost gone from the spine. Moire fabric endsheets with wear on the edge of the front leaf. Inside endsheets in front and back are maps of the California Channel Islands. Some separation between the front map and the limitation page. And slight separation between pages 50 and 51. "Immensely respected by fellow anglers within the newly developed segment of the sport, Bandini championed conservation of California's coastal resources as a member of the state's fish and game commission, was a member of many conservation groups, and served on the board of directors for the storied Tuna Club of Santa Catalina Island….His most enduring legacy to the sport of big game fishing is his writing, in particular his three books entitled Tight Lines, Veiled Horizons, and Men, Fish, and Tackle. These books, privately published and now quite rare, are among the most revealing volumes written about this formative period in the evolution of saltwater game fishing" -International Game Fish Association Website.
